CA Blogging Assignment 6
The term 'the Law of unintended consequences' simply seemes to me that the decision you make for the sake of the matter causes the consequence that turns out to be in bad situation. The decision is made to make the circumstance better but the outcome results in a bad way that is not intended. Licking the lip constantly on the dry day, for example, will help give the lip some moisture. However, the constant licking will accelerate drying up of the lip and eventually its condition will get worse. To lick the lip would give misture to the lip in a short-term sight, but the lip will be dried up in the end. So even doing apparently profitable thing may lead to the worse outcome without any intention.

Hmm.. This example works in the abstract, but is it something you yourself have experienced. Even though you don't directly connect this example to yourself (and that is the stated intent of the blogging assignment), I will choose to believe you are talking from your own experience.
返信削除Chris: It was definitely from my own experience...!
返信削除Yes,your lip must have experienced that! lol
返信削除I believe unintended consequences can be positive as well as negative. My experience was lead to positive unintended consequences, for example. Don't you think you have an experience of having good outcomes that you'd never expected when you had done something before?
返信削除I know what you mean!! Sometimes i wash my face too often that it gets too oily x(
返信削除Great example! I hardly ever use lipsticks so usually my friends look me coldly, but maybe my policy matches reality!
返信削除Wow wow!! I didn't know about this lip stuff. It's a really interesting example, and I like it!! I like it when people look at tiny things in life and make detailed observations on them.
返信削除Shun:thx you know me well;D
返信削除Ai:yeah I noticed that I only mentioned the negative perspective. After I read others' I realized the positive side exist as well!
